Considering the population of English language readers in our society, writers are always tempted to write secular books.
So, when Successwaves Communications set to publish the first of Crescent Series story book, The Obedient Faruq 1, various criticisms were received from all quarters, but against all odds, we took bold step in the cause of Jihad and published it on March 2005.

To encourage Virtues.
To Boost The Reading Culture Of School Children.
To Promote Moral And Religious Values.
CONCEPT
We are set to take another giant stride to encourage Muslims and Muslim children in particular.
We need to encourage proliferation of Muslim Schools. We need to dove our caps for the teacher that opts for the cause Allah and not money; The proprietor and the proprietress that found schools for Islam. The father and the mother that care. That school that struggles to give Muslim children all they need in spite of her numerous obstacles. The Television Station that encourages morals, cultural values and religious values, shunning materialism. That Television or Radio programme that gives complete Islamic education.
Our concern is to make our children READ and earn reward from Allah.

We have identified the following awards;
THE SCHOLARSHIP TEST
Children between ages 9 to 14 are eligible. He/she must have good knowledge in Islamic Studies, Mathematics, English Language, and General knowledge. He/She must have read some of the short stories in Crescent Series.
Forms will be available for candidates. A representative will come from a school. This is to ensure that more schools participate.
The Test shall be conducted between 9:30 a.m and 11:00 am., on a Saturday in 4TH April, 2008. at Rahmotu Islamiyah Schools, Ikeja,

Books and other gift items from our sponsors will be given to the children.
NOMINATION AND SELECTION
Crescent Scholarship Award test shall be conducted for Crescent Student of the year to emerge.
Other categories shall be by selection, nomination or votes.
SETTING OF QUESTIONS INVIGILATION AND MARKING
These shall be handled by Successwaves Communications and the Zonal Executive members of League of Muslim Proprietors and Proprietress (LEAMPPS) Lagos Chapter.
THE AWARD CEREMONY
The award ceremony comes up in May/June, 2008.
